The raising of our Gold Coast Sub Branch Veterans Assistance Centre "VAC SLIPPER" has been a great milestone for our young Club. We are extremely proud to announce this initiative and the benefits this facility will provide to current and ex-serving members, Veterans, and their families. Our VAC SLIPPER was officially opened by Senator Sue Boyce on 11th June 2011.
Address: 12 Tanah Merah Ave, TANAH MERAH QLD 4128

As a strategic objective, our other Sub Branches around Australia are also pursuing the raising of thier VACs right at this time.
The concept is simple! We have leased a residential premises (5+5 years) that is large enough to accommodate what we want to do. We have setup both a 'drop-in' facility for any current and ex-serving member or Veteran where they can touch base with our members and enjoy a coffee while having a chat, and, we provide 'assistance rooms' where we can - in confidence - help any current and ex-serving member or Veteran with their welfare, pension and advocacy issues. DVA has been kind enough to recognise our efforts and what we plan to achieve with "VAC SLIPPER".
More news shortly .... have a look at our photos during construction ... stay tuned!!!
